1979 Glenlivet, Single Cask, 31 Year Old. Bottled for Mackillop’s Choice

Colour: Gold.

Nose: Honeydew, mead, sweet malt, overripe apples.

Mouth (neat): indeed, liquid honey plus high-end cider and just a touch of sour wood. Perfect, fresh, fruity, herbal, zesty, and yet ‘Glenlivet luscious’. With water: perfect malty goodness! More grass, leaves, peelings, tobacco,menthol … And some liquorice!

Finish: Long, even maltier.
