The 2005 vintage of Balblair is a light, fruity and refreshing dram that’s typical of the Highland distillery’s style. Matured in casks that previously held bourbon, this single malt has notes of toffee and vanilla alongside orchard citrus and ground spice.

Nose: Full bodied with the classic aromas of fresh green apples, ground spices and honey. The American oak ex-bourbon barrels used in maturation impart notes of oaky vanilla, leather and oranges with a hint of fragrant cut flowers and smoke.

Palate: The initial rush of peat and wood smoke is followed by a gentle sweetness with hints of spice.

Finish: Medium length & Spicy.
