One of their more premium offerings, the BenRiach 21 Year Old Single Malt is a well-aged, well-crafted Scotch Whisky expression matured in not one but four different cask types to give it a rich and complex character. Made from 100% malted barley, the whisky is distilled in traditional copper pot stills before being aged in a combination of ex-bourbon, virgin oak, Limousin oak red wine casks, and Pedro Ximenez sherry casks for over two decades before being brought to proof using pure water and bottled.

Benriach 21 Year Old Classic Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky Tasting Notes

Nose: Bright autumn-gold in color, each sip of this Scotch Whisky begins with a generous aroma of spiced fruity punch supported by notes of zesty summer fruits, candied peels, stem ginger, and a touch of toasty oak.

Palate: This is complemented by a soft palate of vanilla, cinnamon, tangy red fruits, more candied peels, barley sugars, honeyed malt, milk chocolate, and shortbread.

Finish: A long, sweet, and satisfying finish.

The BenRiach distillery is a single malt Scotch whisky distillery in the Speyside area of Scotland. It is currently owned by Brown-Forman Corporation after being purchased on 1 June 2016 as a subsidiary from the BenRiach Distillery Company Limited, formed by two South African funding partners, Geoff Bell and Wayne Keiswetter, and Scotch whisky expert Billy Walker.
