Chairman’s Reserve Vintage 2009

Our Master Blender, Deny Duplessis, carefully combines distillates from John Dore 2, Vendôme and Coffey Still to create Vintage 2009. After being aged independently for 11 years, the rums are blended and then placed back in barrels to further harmonize before bottling. The result is a vibrant golden brown rum with a rich and complex palate of honeyed raisins, toffee, banana, vanilla, and tobacco. Hints of sweet candied tropical fruits, spices, and buttery toasted oak add depth and structure, leading to a smooth finish of smoky leather and dark chocolate.

RUM BLEND: Vintage 2009 is a unique blend of 11 year old rums from our pot stills (John Dore 2 & Vendome) and our Coffey still.

MATURATION: The rums are aged independently for 11 years in ex-bourbon barrels before being expertly blended by our head blender, Deny Duplessis. They are then reintroduced to the oak for a few more months in order to perfectly incorporate.

TASTING NOTES:
Colour: Vibrant golden brown colour.
Nose: Intense honeyed raisin nose with toffee, banana, vanilla, and tobacco tones.
Palate: Concentrated and powerful palate with sweet candied tropical fruits, tobacco, and spices. Buttery toasted oak gives structure and depth as well as a smooth complex finish of leather and dark chocolate.
