Glenburgie 23 Year Old Connoisseurs Choice Single Cask #3644 2000 Single Malt Scotch Whisky | 700ML Tasting Notes

Nose: Fragrant floral notes give way to butterscotch and medjool dates. Toasted hazel nuts lead to rich cocoa powder.

Palate: Sweet raspberry compote complements smooth orange zest . Toffee and sultanas are balanced by soft black pepper.

Finish: Full and long with milk chocolate and mature oak.

Distillery Information

There are mentions of a distillery being founded as early as 1810, then known as Kilnflat. It wasn’t until 1829 that official records for the distillery show up. After running into financial difficulty, the distillery closed in 1870 before being renamed Glenburgie in 1871. It re-opened in 1878, under Charles Kay.
