A 1989 Glenrothes single malt from indie bottler Elixir Distillers, matured in a single hogshead for three decades, before being bottled in January 2020 as part of its Single Malts of Scotland range. Aromas of vanilla pod, golden syrup, wood chips and rosemary ciabatta fill the nose. The palate offers notes of clove, grapefruit liqueur, sawdust, black tea and mint, with hints of dark chocolate and coffee in lingering in the finish.
