Nose: This elegant Scotch greets you with a pleasing nose of cola, bitter cocoa beans, cedar wood, roasted coffee beans, brown sugar, almond milk, leather, and faint tobacco notes.
Palate: This is followed by a sweet, subtle, and sumptuous palate of charred oak, peat smoke, rich vanilla cream, bittersweet chocolate, and sweet chili peppers.
Finish: A scrumptious finish of cotton candy caramel, cocoa, peat, and cinnamon with a satisfying burn.
Distillery Information
In 1857, Alexander Walker — Johnnie Walker’s eldest son — inherited the store and began improving its selection of single malt Scotch whiskies. In addition, Alexander had apprenticed with a tea merchant in Glasgow and there, had learned the art of blending tea. Under his stewardship, the House of Walker began blending whisky and bottling it in an iconic, square bottle adorned with a slanted label.
