A gorgeous unaged rum here from the terroir-obsessed Grenada distillery Renegade Rum. It’s a traditional pot still expression produced from fresh Cain sugar cane juice, harvested in 2020 from just one farm called Old Bacolet. Situated between two rivers on a clay-rich flood plain, its origin location is said to have a huge influence on the end character of the rum. This expression offers an array of caramel and vanilla notes, with cinnamon, allspice and a sweet nuttiness coming through later. Beautiful.
