Sangre de Vida (or “Blood of Life”) is a line of tequila and mezcal immediately remarkable owing to the highly stylized skull bottle. Each is hand-painted in designs “drawn from the rich history and culture of Mexico.” They say the tequila itself is a style of “estate tequila” in that they grow their on agave on a 3,000 acre field. They are proud to note that each plant has a sugar content of 23-28 “brix” and cooked for 38 hours in traditional brick ovens.

Nose: Fragile aromas of oak, caramelized nectar, mahogany.
Palate: Sweet potato, vanilla, stewed blossoms and pear.
Finish: Caramel and smoky notes.
