The Equiano Rum is a blend of Mauritius and Barbados Rum. In Mauritius the rum matures in French Limousin and Cognac Casks, which gives it its complex notes. In Barbados, the award-winning rum from the Foursquare Rum Distillery is used, which matures in ex-Bourbon Casks. Freshly married, the two distillates get a finish in American White Oak Cask. Here the rum matures for about 8 years. The Equiano Rum is neither coloured nor are various additives added.
