The Soleo Collection from Glenrothes takes its name from the process of sun-drying grapes for sherry making in Jerez, so you’re in for a sherried treat here. The range also eschews the vintages as seen on previous Glenrothes bottlings, instead featuring age statements on most of them. This one is a 25 year old expression, and features a high proportion of first fill sherry seasoned oak casks at its core. Yummers.

The Glenrothes 25 Year Old Scotch Whisky Tasting Notes

Nose: Lavish aromas of tropical fruits such as mango and pineapple, followed by bold notes of cedar wood.

Palate: Elegant flavors of coriander seeds and violets with a tinge of salted caramel.

Finish: Sweet and long-lasting finish with floral and citrus embrace.

The Glenrothes is a single malt Scotch whisky, produced at the Glenrothes Distillery, beside the Burn of Rothes in the Speyside region. The Glenrothes is used in blended scotch whiskies such as Cutty Sark and The Famous Grouse.
