Tomintoul 12 Year Old Oloroso Sherry Cask Batch #2 2010 Single Malt Scotch Whisky | 700ML Tasting Notes

Nose: Rich and fruity with pronounced aromas of brittle toffee, dried fruits, milk chocolate and baking spices.

Palate: Sweet and silky on the palate with layers of coffee cake, sultanas and mocha mingled with toasted walnuts and candied cloves.

Finish: A nutty and warming finish with notes of maple syrup, coffee grounds and warm pecan pie.

Distillery Information

Strong & Co. and Hay & HacLeod & Co from Glasgow established Tomintoul Distillery Ltd. in 1964, and in July 1965 the Tomintoul Distillery was founded. The company only ran the distillery for less than a decade and sold it to Scottish & Universal Investment Trust in 1973.
